I read the news today, oh boy

So what have I been up to? Well apart from work, which I think I shall NOT be mentioning here, (unless something incredible happens like aliens deciding to contact me via the medium of jam jars) I haven't done anything that a sane person would rate as interesting. But since this is a web blog and I appear to be blogging at this very moment, I'll stretch out what meagre waffle I have until you get so bored your eyes bleed bloody blood. My, that was a long sentence eh?

Well I read the first 'Hellblazer' graphic novel, featuring the excellent John Constantine. A character created by the beardy God of modern comics, Alan Moore. JC first appeared Alan Moore's run on 'Swamp Thing'. Which is also great. I'll try and keep the platitudes to a minimum in future - as it gets a bit dull having excellent, great, fantastic, bovril and smeg in every other sentence. Its enough to know that if I rave about it then its good. Anyway JC is a scouse occult weirdy magic guy that you know that if you met him he'd be as cool as fuck to hang around with. Unless theres demons about, in which case you'd end up dead and he'd spend his days trying to ignore your ghost.

I also started reading 'Harlequin' by Ian Watson. Set in the suitably dramatic Grim Darkness of the 41st Millenium, it continues the story of Inquisitor Jaq Draco. While the main character appears to be a bit of a tit, the imagery and writting quality more than make up for it.

Well thats about it really. I'm off to mooch around HMV for a while before I realise I have no money and can't buy anything.

Then I plan to get drunk!!
