Minty Fresh

Merry Xmas and all that jazz to you all!

I am back in rainy, cold, but homely, Galway after a trip back to the sun-kissed beaches of tropical Achill Island. Well, tropical if you're a fish. I suppose Achill is the only place you could drown while sun-bathing.

Anyway, I went home on yon Xmas Eve. Planning to relax and unwind. This didn't happen. Alas I got completely pissed and magically woke up on Xmas Day wondering how I got into bed. Luckily I wasn't alone in my drunken antics and my brothers got smashed too.

Spent most of the day feeling green. I barracaded myself in the front room and read Hellblazer, then forced myself to eat as much turkey as possible before deciding it would be better to stick to water.

Attempted to go out on St Stephens.....sorry BOXING DAY, but discovered I wasn't in the mood. Plus the drink was SHITE in McLoughlins, awful stuff.

Made the trip back to Galway on Monday, tidied the flat, and attempted to unblock the sink.

Then Clodagh, my girlfriend to the uninitiated, came home and we exchanged gifts. I got her an MP3 player and associated girly things and she got me a guitar!!! A fucking goregous blue Guitar. Now I must teach myself to play.

Back to work tomorrow and Im agast that I have to work again. Im off to wallow in despair, or maybe watch Home Alone 2.

Eight days a week...

Oh God I'm drunk. its quite amazing how one tends to think about spelling and punctuation and grammer when one tends to be a little pissed as a fart.

I'm not really too bad, Paul Mc bought me a Space Marine Dreadnought as an Xmas present. Which is cool.

i think I'll have another Wild Turkey and call it a night.

Damnit Jim Im a Doctor!

Ho Ho Ho. Its nearly christmas time, oh the joy. What have I been up to? Well I had my work christmas party on saturday. Which was nice. Plenty of free booze and good times all round. The chinese guys who do the night-pack decided to try almost every short available. Which ended in disaster apparently.

One of the other Chinese guys, Tom, had to carry Tony and Terry home. Oh how I laughed.

In other news, my mate Stephen (probably the only other person reading this) is buggering off around Europe for the next few weeks. Like the German army, circa 1940, he will be 'visiting' most European cities. Though I think its unlikely he'll attack Russia in the winter.

Also Kai, another mate (yes I have more than one!), is heading back home to Essen, Germany on Saturday. He'll be gone till sometime mid January. Git.

I treated myself to a bevy of new T-shirts this weekend. So now I have some new threads with Batman and Leonard 'Bones' McCoy emblassoned upon them.

Hurrah!

Oop

I just found that old 'Star Trekin' song from the eighties. My God its awful, but sooooooo listenable. I fear for my sanity.

KHHHAAAAANNNN!!!!!!

Today I was thinking about what would happen if you mixed the Beatles with the words and imaginationings of H.P. Lovecraft. It'd certainly be an interesting mix. We'd have classic songs like, 'Ticket to Ryloth', 'Sgt. Dagon's Lonely Underwater Fiends of Evil Club Band', 'Yellow Subterrainian Brooding Evil', 'Cthulhu Rigby' and the classic 'Hey Shoggoth'. What say ye?

Anyway, work was work. Just having some wine and searching the net for something that doesn't suck.

Froody.

Why Mr Cthulhu, with these Ferrero Roche you're really spoiling us....arrrghh!!

I am Gordon Freeman. Or at least in the glorious world of Half Life 2 I am.

At present I am fighting against the oppressive oppressivness of the Combine. Its cool. Loving it (though not in a sell-out-McSoylent-Green way). There really isn't anything better than using the Gravity Gun to rip a radiator off the wall and fire it at doer of evil. So. Much. Fun.

In other news I discovered the fascinating world of emulators. Not something you confess to strangers on a daily basis I'll admit. Its interesting. By using a little programmy thingy you can play all those old Snes, Megadrive and etc. games from the days of yore. However its technically illegal to do so unless you own the games. Which, hurrah!, I do! Though admittedly they are some 200 miles away in an attic. But I own them so I can play them on my computer! Oh the memories.

I was in work at 4am again today, but I got out about 11.30, so it wasn't too bad. Think I'll get a mug of incredibly strong coffee in a mo. Otherwise I might conk out anytime sooooo...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......zzzz..zzzz.zzz.zzz.......zzz.zzz

Buwaaa? Huh?, *sniff* Sorry, fell asleep for a second.

Anyway, I've dug up my copy of 'The Call of Cthulhu' by H.P. Lovecraft, I think I peruse it at some point today. Its been a while since I gave myself the willies (keep the mind above the gutter!!).

Aside from the above I've done bugger all of interest, so begone!!
